Objectives

  1. Develop design and information architecture skills.
  2. Understand a team-based and iterative approach to Web development.
  3. Create image-based multimedia content and understand the use of other multimedia content (sound, animation, video) in Web design.
  4. Develop a working knowledge of image correction, collage, compositing, and exporting for the Web using Photoshop.
  5. Create interactive animations suitable for Web distribution using Flash.
  6. Be capable of authoring transitional standards-compliant Web sites using Dreamweaver and CSS.
  7. Come to a new understanding of the complexity and ethical implications of food systems and how they are imaged/imagined in our culture.
