Evaluation
You can earn up to 100 points over the course of the semester; the final grading scale is based on a 10-point increment scale (A=90, B=80, etc.).  The breakdown for the points follows:

Projects 1-3: 10 points each (30 total)
Final Project: 15 points
Podcast Report: 10 points
Midterm: 10 points
Wiki: 10 points
Position Papers: 5 each (10 total)
Participation: 15 points

Informal, ungraded homework assignments at times will be necessary in order to participate in in-class demonstrations.   Failure to complete these assignments will negatively affect your overall participation grade.  You will receive a point score and oral and written feedback for each project, and I will give out a cumulative midterm grade on October 17.  While I make every effort to be aware of students’ needs and concerns, I am not a mind reader: please come to my office with questions and concerns about your performance or the class in general promptly enough so that we can address the problem.
