"'Everything is right here-it's like being on vacation,' says Marci Morrison, who recently moved into a new house at Fort Sheridan with her husband, Greg. 'We have a small lot, about 6,500 square feet, but then we have over 700 acres to go play in.' That includes the fort's old golf course, a secluded public beach on Lake Michigan, and quiet patches of woodland. 'We go out for walks at night and it's like going back in history, being part of the late 1800s or early 1900s,' says Greg Morrison."
